Notts Outlaws must wait until the scheduled reserve day on Monday before being able to play their quarter-final match in the Vitality Blast competition.

Sunday’s tie against Somerset at the Cooper Associates County Ground was abandoned without a ball being bowled after heavy and persistent rain continued to fall throughout the day.

Umpires Steve O’Shaughnessy and Neil Mallender made inspections at 3pm (the appointed start time) and at 4pm but there was no let-up in the rainfall and both sides must return tomorrow.

Somerset finished on top of the South Group during qualifying, winning 10 and losing four of their matches. They won the competition for the only time in 2005 and have reached three other Finals Days, an identical record to the Outlaws.

Conditions permitting, the match will now be played at 1pm on Monday 27th August 2018 and today’s tickets remain valid.
