Notts Outlaws will wear a special edition shirt for Friday’s Vitality Blast clash against Yorkshire Vikings at Trent Bridge to mark the 50th anniversary of official team sponsor, John Pye Auctions.

The Nottingham-based company, whose brand adorns all three Nottinghamshire playing shirts, have extended the current partnership by five years, extending their commitment to the end of the 2023 season.

The match-worn shirts, which feature a special edition John Pye Auctions 50th anniversary logo on the front, will be auctioned in aid of the Trent Bridge Community Trust.

“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with the Club,” said Managing Director Adam Pye.

“We are a family business and Nottinghamshire are a family Club so we share the same values which serve to make our partnership even stronger.

“Ever since we came on board we have enjoyed a strong working relationship with a Club that is at the forefront of its sport in the domestic and international arena.

“Last summer was certainly a highlight, seeing our name emblazoned on the shirt as the Outlaws completed the white-ball double.

“We are honoured that the side will be taking to the field in a special edition shirt to help celebrate our 50th anniversary.”

John Pye & Sons Ltd was founded in 1968 by John and Ann Pye and originally headquartered at Nottingham’s old Cattle Market site. Their nationwide expansion saw them secure the former Shipstone’s Brewery site that they now call home.

“John Pye have supported us brilliantly for the past five seasons and to have them commit for a further five years is fantastic news,” said Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Commercial Director Michael Temple.

“We feel that the special edition shirt is a fitting way to acknowledge their longstanding commitment to us and celebrate their 50-year anniversary.

“Since John Pye came on board back in 2014 there have been numerous benefits for both parties, and we look forward to what the future holds.”

After the match, the shirts, which will be signed by the players, will be auctioned by John Pye, with proceeds supporting the Trent Bridge Community Trust.
