Notts Outlaws have welcomed a record average crowd of 11,377 for the group stages of the 20 Vitality T20 Blast competition.

The figure saw an increase of 1,500 from last year and is up by just under 400 from the previous record that was achieved in 2016, following an aggregate total of 79,639.

Both memberships and junior memberships, which include a number of benefits and access to all Notts home matches in Vitality Blast, Royal London One-Day Cup and Specsavers County Championship, also saw a significant increase.

Nottinghamshire welcomed 8,234 members this season with an increase of more than 700 from the previous season.

After such a ground-breaking year, Outlaws captain Dan Christian was full of praise for the Notts faithful.

“The crowds are huge for us - it’s such a fantastic place to play when its full and we’ve been lucky enough to have that every time we play here,” he said.

“The crowd are always right behind us through thick and thin, which certainly gives us that extra edge.

“The membership are huge to us as a team – there aren’t too many grounds in the world where you get to walk out through the membership – it’s certainly a nice feeling and the whole team is really grateful for their support.”

This season also saw a record amount of Outlaws Season Tickets sold whilst junior members got the chance to enjoy a coaching session from Head Coach Peter Moores, Assistant Coach Paul Franks, overseas players Dan Christian and Ish Sodhi as well as the pace duo of Luke Wood and Jack Blatherwick.
