Chris Nash has been ruled out of the Notts Outlaws' next three Vitality Blast games with the shoulder injury sustained in the Club’s opening game of the tournament against the Birmingham Bears.

The top order batsman saw a specialist yesterday (Monday), who has ruled that the player should have an extended period of rest.

Nash, who missed the weekend’s games against the Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Leicestershire Foxes, will have another assessment next Monday to check on his progress.

“We are going to get through this first block of T20 games and then see where we are at with Chris for the Surrey County Championship game and the second lot of T20s beyond that,” said Head Coach Peter Moores.

The games Nash will miss are Friday’s trip to the Derbyshire Falcons and next week's home matches with the Durham Jets and the Leicestershire Foxes.
