Trent Bridge will stage the fourth Royal London One-Day International between England and Pakistan next summer having been awarded an additional day of international cricket by the ECB.

The day-night fixture will be staged in Nottingham on Friday 17 May as England finalise their preparations for the ICC Cricket World Cup - and you can register your interest for tickets here...

Vitality Blast Finals Day, which had been scheduled to take place at Trent Bridge in 2019, will now be staged at Edgbaston, the established home of the domestic showpiece.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Chief Executive Lisa Pursehouse commented on the match award which will kickstart a busy summer at Trent Bridge, including five fixtures in the ICC Cricket World Cup.

“Our members value international cricket and Edgbaston have made Finals Day their own so we worked together to find a schedule that played to the strengths of our venues,” said Lisa.

"Following the outcome of the major match awards earlier this year Edgbaston will host Finals Day from 2020-24 so it makes sense for them to retain it in 2019".

“Having won the right to host the 50 over Final from 2020 onwards, we know the fifty-over format works well here.

"We have staged two sold-out Royal London One-Day Internationals in the past few weeks, had the highest domestic attendance in the Royal London One-Day Cup and felt there was a very clear logic in adding more 50-over matches to our schedule.

“We always look forward to hosting England and we’re really pleased to welcome Pakistan and their supporters back to Trent Bridge.”

Tickets will go on public sale in October following a priority window for Nottinghamshire members. Register your interest for tickets by clicking here...
