Four members of the Nottinghamshire squad will take part in the second T10 competition in the UAE this winter.

Harry Gurney, Tom Moores, Alex Hales and Samit Patel have all been drafted to take part in the ten over league at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

All four players will face off against each other after being drafted to separate teams.

Gurney will join former Outlaw Andre Russell at one of this season’s new teams Northern Warriors, who will be led by Darren Sammy, after being picked in the third round of the draft.

Hales will return to the Maratha Arabians for a second year in a row, with his side selecting former Green and Gold Brendan Taylor, alongside a number of players from the English game including James Vince, Liam Livingstone, and Adam Lyth.

Patel was selected by Herschelle Gibbs’ Rajputs in the fourth round whilst Moores was drafted to Punjabi Legends in the fifth round, where he will join a squad containing Chris Jordan, Liam Plunkett and Kiwi Luke Ronchi.

Joe Clarke meanwhile, who recently signed on a four-year deal from Worcestershire and will join the squad from 1 October, has been picked up by the Karachians.

Last year’s champions Kerala Kings had the first pick of the draft and chose destructive batsman Chris Gayle.

The tournament will take place from November 23 to December 2.
