Half-centuries from Ben Duckett and Liam Patterson-White were not enough to stop Nottinghamshire from falling to a 143-run defeat to Yorkshire at Scarborough.
Duckett hit 75, while Patterson-White finished unbeaten on 58, his maiden first-class fifty in a Notts shirt.
Keshav Maharaj finished with figures of 6-95 for the hosts as Notts were dismissed for 243.
