Day two of Nottinghamshire’s County Championship clash with Hampshire was washed out at Welbeck Cricket Club.
With the forecast looking ominous overnight, drizzle began in the hour before the scheduled start of play, with the rain only increasing in intensity as the morning progressed.
An early lunch was taken at 12.30, but by 1.45pm it was decided that conditions were unlikely to recover sufficiently, and the day’s play was called off.
Nottinghamshire and Hampshire will be hoping for better luck tomorrow, when the visitors will look to resume their innings on 93-2.
Those of you who have purchased tickets are, of course, entitled to a full refund.
If you contact the ticket office at Trent Bridge from tomorrow onwards – either by phone on 0115 899 0300, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or in person – our friendly staff will be happy to process that refund for you.
Those who bought their tickets from The John Fretwell Sporting Complex in advance of the day of the game can claim their refund via Welbeck Cricket Club, also from tomorrow onwards.
Alternatively, any tickets can be exchanged – also via the ticket office at Trent Bridge – for a day of Specsavers County Championship cricket of your choosing.
