Nottinghamshire and England paceman Jake Ball talks to us from the Outlaws' pre-season tour in South Africa.

The Welbeck Wizard discusses the unique bond shared by the bowling 'cartel' despite the competition for places this season, with Notts' bowlers all chomping at the bit to be included in the first Specsavers County Championship match against Yorkshire, which starts on Friday 5 April.

"We have a group of bowlers that can see us through the whole season and that's something we've not had for a few years," said Ball.

"There's a lot of competition for places - everyone wants to play in the first game of the season but there has to be an element of my time is going to come."

"Personally, it's going to be nice to be able to get back out there and show people what I can do."
