Louisa Ellis, the 2017 ‘MasterChef: The Professionals’ finalist, will lay on a six-course menu at Trent Bridge's Restaurant Six on Tuesday 5 November.

The event, which is limited to 40 diners and is nearing capacity, is priced at £85 per person, rising to £145 for the inclusion of wine pairings to accompany fine-dining prepared by the 24-year-old chef.

Six, which opened its doors in the spring and was recently the recipient of a Visit Nottinghamshire Hospitality Stars Award, received a glowing reference from Louisa ahead of her debut at the venue.

“When I walked into Six, I saw a really well designed, top quality restaurant,” she said.

“From going up in the lift to the added bonus of the amazing views and the selection of spirits and wine in the bar, the whole experience is luxury.

“I’m excited to come and work with Six’s very talented chefs to deliver a personalised menu created specifically with this event in mind.

“The ingredients will be fresh, seasonal and selected from the best, most organic, produce available – and the execution will reflect everything I’ve learned through the MasterChef experience and beyond.”

As well as her run to her final of MasterChef, Louisa has honed her skills in the renowned kitchens of Sat Bains and Adam Stokes.

Her run on the BBC show saw her reach the final at the age of just 22, with her cooking described by judges Monica Galetti and Gregg Wallace as ‘showstopping’ and ‘divine’.

The televised competition saw her spend time in the kitchen of French restaurant Mirazur, which has since been ranked the best in the world by a panel of culinary experts in the William Reed Business Media published ‘The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’.

Louisa’s foray into private dining and pop-up events recently saw her welcomed to stage at the Michelin 3-Star Eleven Madison Park in New York.

“Louisa is one of the brightest talents in British cooking, so we’re delighted to have the opportunity to give her a setting in Nottingham befitting of her abilities,” added Nottinghamshire’s Commercial Director Michael Temple.

“The menu Louisa has compiled looks stunning, and the restaurant’s sixth-floor setting promises to be the perfect place to enjoy a panorama of the city’s bonfire night fireworks displays.”
