Fateh Singh has been presented with the Charles Vernon Price Memorial Award for the most improved Academy player.

Spin bowling all-rounder Singh showed his class across formats in 2021, taking 32 wickets across 13 U18 matches, and averaging 25.89, including two fifties, with the bat.

He proved to be a perennial force amongst a host of consistent performers in the pathway, including the likes of Sammy King, Farhan Ahmed and Travis Holland.

His record saw him awarded with second and first-team opportunities for Notts, with Second Eleven Championship berths under Peter Trego’s captaincy followed by appearances in the Green and Golds’ Royal London Cup team.

Singh’s performances for Notts, and for the Midlands at the ECB Super 4s, also earned him a place in England’s Young Lions team for a six match 50-over series against West Indies, during which he guided his side to a one wicket victory with an unbeaten 12 in the second fixture, and took four wickets in four games.

Singh joins Luke Fletcher (Player of the Season) in earning end-of-season recognition from his county.
