Dane Paterson says his ‘gasket was blown’ by the conclusion of his marathon day one spell, but that the encouragement of his teammates spurred him on.
The fast bowler returned career-best figures of 8-52 from 15 consecutive overs as Worcestershire were bowled out for 159 after losing the toss at Trent Bridge.
Paterson firmly believes that the 44-run lead Notts are taking into day two could prove to be precious as the contest continues.
