Sol Budinger labeled Notts Outlaws’ 10 wicket win in the Royal London Cup a “complete performance” after blitzing his side to victory with less than 50 overs bowled in the day at Taunton.

The opener smashed an unbeaten 29-ball 62 in a partnership of 124 with Ben Slater, as the Outlaws chased 119 inside 12 overs.

The 23-year-old chose to heap particular praise on Nottinghamshire’s bowling attack, however, for restricting the total, including a rampant first six overs after which Somerset were 17/5.

He also commended Notts on their ability to remain patient and build pressure in the light of a stubborn fifth wicket partnership for Somerset which was eventually broken by Liam Patterson-White.
