Samit Patel is to feature in the inaugural edition of the ILT20, after securing his place in the MI Emirates’ roster.
All-rounder Patel is one of 14 international stars whose spot in the Emirates’ line-up has been confirmed, alongside Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Trent Boult.
Patel will also be joined by Will Smeed, who recently hit The Hundred’s first-ever century, and former Outlaw Imran Tahir.
The 37-year-old, currently plying his trade for Trent Rockets in English cricket’s newest competition, has scored 6132 runs and taken 311 wickets in a storied twenty-over career.
The ILT20 will be hosted in the UAE from 6 January to 12 February, with Alex Hales and Ben Duckett among a host of internationals who have signed up for the competition.
