Notts Outlaws began their Vitality Girls U18 County T20 in faultless fashion with a pair of wins against East Midlands neighbours Lincolnshire and Derbyshire at Nettleham Cricket Club.

Ella Porter and Rhinannon Knowling-Davies scored a combined 82 as the Outlaws amassed 128/5 batting first against Lincolnshire, with Eloise Della Spina the other batter to make it to double figures with a contribution of 14.

With the ball, Porter and Molly Greasby both returned figures of 1-10 off four overs as the hosts were constricted in their pursuit of the target.

Abigail Hannan top scored for Lincolnshire but was run out by Porter for 42, with the hosts losing five wickets for 14 runs to stunt their momentum.

The Imp county finished 39 short of Notts total, on 89/6.

Against Derbyshire - who Notts beat in the Royal London County Cup on Friday - the Outlaws chased their target of 119 with three deliveries of their allotted 20 overs to spare.

Ruby Neal claimed 3-16, and Sadie Hodgson 2-15, each off four overs as the Falcons stuttered their way to 118/8 despite regular wickets.

Porter made 23, and Knowling-Davies 16, as Notts made hay with a 37-run second wicket partnership, but three wickets for seven runs put the Green and Golds on the back foot.

Maddie Ward countered with 35 from 27 balls, however, and with five required off the final over, three off the first ball courtesy of Hodgeson, and a Ward boundary off the third, saw Notts over the line.
