Notts galloped to a win inside three days after a second emphatic bowling performance saw visitors Sussex dismissed for 142 in the fourth innings, 256 short of their target.

That was set, in large, thanks to vital contributions from Haseeb Hameed and Lyndon James on day two and, despite Notts' final four wickets falling cheaply on the third morning, a lead of 398 proved too much for the away side.

Dane Paterson and James Pattinson both took three each in seam-friendly conditions to finish with eight match wickets, with Luke Fletcher and Steven Mullaney in the wickets too.
