The squads for the first England white-ball matches under the full-time captaincy of Jos Buttler have been confirmed, with a 14-man party named for an IT20 series against India which takes in a trip to Trent Bridge on Sunday 10 July.

Buttler, named the Three Lions’ white-ball captain after the retirement of Eoin Morgan, will lead a squad which includes Liam Livingstone, who is set to return to the venue where he smashed England’s fastest-ever century against Pakistan last summer.

Lancashire’s Livingstone is joined by his county teammate Richard Gleeson, with Yorkshire’s Harry Brook, Sussex’s Tymal Mills amongst those included.

Yorkshire spinner Adil Rashid has been given permission by the ECB to miss both series to make The Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.

The Vitality IT20 series commences at the Ageas Bowl on Thursday 7 July, before Edgbaston (Saturday 9 July) and Trent Bridge (Sunday 10 July) host the final two encounters of the series.

The two sides will then contest a three-match ODI series between 12 and 17 July.
