Nottinghamshire rallied with the ball to take eight wickets on an even day against Leicestershire at Uppingham School, where the hosts finished 314/8. 

Jack Peirce took three wickets and Calvin Harrison two as Notts took curtailed flourishing partnerships throughout the day. 

Rishi Patel made 82 for the Running Foxes before he chipped Harrison to Matthew Montgomery at mid wicket, while Roman Walker finished unbeaten on 58. 

There were starts for Hassan Azad (38), Rehan Ahmed (34), Harry Swindells (21) and Ed Barnes (29), but all failed to press on with Joey Evison, Pierce, Fateh Singh and a run out causing their respective demises. 

Sam Bates fell first ball to Harrison, while Peirce claimed the first and final wickets of the day, those of Sam Evans for five and Chris Wright for 12.
