Nottinghamshire rallied after being dismissed cheaply and asked to follow-on on day two against Derbyshire at Lady Bay, with the hosts now trailing by 100 runs with eight wickets remaining.

After the visitors declared on 339/8 in their first innings, during which Jake Ball picked up three wickets and Toby Pettman two, the Green and Golds were bowled out for 131.

Calvin Harrison, Travis Holland and Raheem Ahmed offered plucky resistance, but Notts fared better at the second attempt with Ben Martindale reaching 27 and Dane Schadendorf 50 before the pair were dismissed.

Tom Loten remained unbeaten on 20, however, with Harrison for company on 5* when time was called.
