Brett Hutton and Jake Ball took two wickets apiece for the Second XI in a rain-reduced friendly against Loughborough, with the two day friendly reduced to fewer than 60 overs.

Toby Pettman and James Hayes both took a wicket each, too, as the hosts amassed 223/6 in 34 overs at Haslegrave Ground. 

In the 25.3 overs possible in reply, the Green and Golds amassed 122/2.

Openers Ben Martindale and Matt Montgomery made 40 and 24 respectively before retiring out for Dane Schadendorf and Calvin Harrison to add 43 between them.

The twos commence their Second XI Championship campaign on 17 April against Derbyshire at Notts Sports Club, for which entry is free to spectators.
