Western Storm seamer Lauren Filer will make her debut alongside evergreen batter Danni Wyatt in England’s sole Ashes Test Match against Australia at Trent Bridge on Thursday.
Filler, who has taken 13 wickets across the Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy this season, is joined in the pace bowling ranks by Kate Cross and Lauren Bell.
The Blaze’s Tammy Beaumont and Nat Sciver-Brunt will also turn out at their home ground, meanwhile, with Emma Lamb, picked to open alongside the former, and 245-times capped Wyatt set the bat in the middle order.
All rounder Danielle Gibson and fast bowler Issy Wong have been left out of the starting team from the squad of 13 selected for the first five day test on English soil.
The fixture is the first in the seven-game multi-format series, with three T20Is and three ODIs following the Test.
Four points are available for the winner, with two available in each of the subsequent limited overs fixtures.
