Nottinghamshire’s first pre-season encounter of the season against Derbyshire will now be played behind closed doors at Trent Bridge, following a late change of venue from the Incora County Ground.

With the outfield at the home of Derbyshire CCC having been left unfit for groundstaff to complete essential preparations following recent inclement weather, Nottinghamshire have agreed to stage the fixture in place of their neighbours.

The clash is due to take place on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 March, with updates available on Nottinghamshire’s social media platforms and website.

Spectators will be welcome to attend Notts’ subsequent friendly against Loughborough UCCE at Trent Bridge, which is scheduled to take place from 27 to 29 March.

Entry for the Loughborough fixture will be free of charge for all, with no membership card or match ticket required to gain access to the venue.

Membership cards for 2023 members will be dispatched to land on doormats in time for the start of the County Championship season, with those wishing to join our club for the summer able to do so at trentbridge.co.uk/members.

Notts’ pre-season preparations will conclude with a further behind-closed-doors friendly against Leicestershire at the Uptonsteel County Ground, on 30 and 31 March.
