Matthew Montgomery admitted that scoring his first century of the season - and continuing his run of appearances in Notts' first team - gave him a sense of belonging, after completing his innings of 177 on day three against Essex.
The all-rounder also spoke of the satisfaction the hosts' batting unit could take from breaching 400 in their first innings, and the pride he took in his notable slip catching efforts.
