Former Notts bowler, Bill Taylor, is to be the next guest of the Nottingham Cricket Lovers' Society.

Taylor, who played for the County from 1971-77, will appear at the society's meeting on Thursday 7 December at Trent Bridge (7pm).

The seamer appeared in over 200 matches for Notts, taking 381 wickets in first-class and limited overs matches.

He subsequently served on the Nottinghamshire committee and had a two year term as Club President in 2018 and 2019.

Taylor will also share memories of his former team-mate and friend, Bob White, who was originally due to speak at the society's December meeting, but who sadly passed away earlier this month.

The meeting will begin with a tribute to Bob's contribution to Nottinghamshire cricket and the wider game.

Heritage volunteer Chris O'Brien, meanwhile, will discuss amateurs and professionals in 19th century Nottinghamshire cricket during the first half of the meeting.

Membership of the society remains at £15 per person for the full programme of meetings - or £5 on the night for an individual meeting.
