Nat Sciver-Brunt and Sarah Glenn have been included in England’s IT20 squad for their tour to India next month, while Tammy Beaumont joins the former for the sole four-day Test Match in Mumbai.

Heather Knight’s side will travel to Oman (17 November-2 December) for a training camp before their opening IT20 fixture at the Wankhede Stadium, their first of three at the venue.

Glenn and Sciver-Brunt will be looking to follow up their successful campaigns in the shortest format against Australia in the Women’s Ashes, with the pair England’s stand out bowlers in the second and third game of the IT20 series respectively.

The tour precedes the second edition of the Women’s Premier League, for which Sciver-Brunt has been retained by Mumbai Indians after a triumphant first campaign.

Beaumont, meanwhile, maintains her place in the red-ball side having struck a momentous double century for England in the first five-day women’s Test match on home soil at Trent Bridge earlier this year.

“We have a nice blend of youth and experience. It’s an exciting squad and a group that is ready to take on the challenge of what will be a really tough series in India,” Head Coach, Jon Lewis, said.

“We haven’t toured India for a number of years. We have players who have experienced playing in the Women’s Premier League but many haven’t played international cricket there before.P

"Playing in Indian conditions is great preparation for our next two World Cups in the subcontinent and will be an amazing learning opportunity for both the players and the staff.

“We respect the Indian team and are really looking forward to the challenge.”
