Liam Patterson-White took nine second-innings wickets as Nottinghamshire’s Second XI completed victory over Derbyshire by an innings and 340 runs.

The left-armer secured all but one of the Falcons wickets to fall, beating Mitch Wagstaff's defences to bowl the opener for 25 before pinning his replacement Matt Lamb for 2.

After Fateh Singh bowled Hassan without scoring, Patterson-White took centre stage once more, trapping Savin Perera as he sought to slog-sweep and handing out similar treatment to Nils Priestley.

Jack Morley edged the spinner into the gloves of wicketkeeper Dane Schadendorf, before Henry Brookes found Freddie McCann on the leg-side.

That was ten wickets in the match for Patterson-White, and there were more to come as Faheem Basharat's middle stump was disturbed on 6, Manraj Johal holed out to Tom Moores and Rao was bowled to secure victory. A defiant Ross Whiteley remained unbeaten on 100.

Earlier, Sammy King had become Notts' third centurion of the fixture, hitting an unbeaten 116 from 124 balls.

He found ample support from Fateh Singh (68 from 63) and Olly Stone (33 from 54) as Notts declared on 688/8 - a total which proved far beyond their opponents.
