Former Middlesex and England seam bowler, Angus Fraser, is the guest of Nottingham Cricket Lovers’ Society at its next meeting on Thursday 8 January, with an afternoon start at 2pm.

Angus played for Middlesex between 1984 and 2002, helping the County win 7 trophies in those 19 seasons. He was capped on 88 occasions by his country, taking over 250 wickets in an England shirt and recording career best figures of 8-53 against West indies in 1998. Fraser retired to take up roles in journalism and broadcasting but returned to Middlesex in 2009 as Managing Director of Cricket. He now oversees the development and growth of Middlesex in the Community, the charitable arm of Middlesex Cricket.

In the first part of the meeting, Roger Marshall, Nottinghamshire’s first-team scorer will explain how he became the 11th person to hold the role and share some of his experiences from around the County game.

This meeting will take place in the Derek Randall Suite at Trent Bridge at 2pm, with access to the ground through the Hound Road Gate.

Everyone is welcome at meetings of the Society.

Individual membership of the Society costs £20 per year - £30 for a couple and £5 for juniors.

Non-members are very welcome to attend an individual meeting at a cost of £10 in cash on the door.
