Our newest Outlaw George Linde is a highly-experienced operator with experience around the world.
Read on for a breakdown of our South African acquisition by the numbers that have made up his career so far.
33 INTERNATIONAL CAPS
Linde is an all-format international for South Africa, and has represented his nation since making his Test debut against India in October 2019.
He has been most prolific for the Proteas in shortest-format cricket, making 26 of his appearances in T20s, but his three Test matches have been productive too, yielding a five-wicket haul.
His South African caps are rounded out by the four ODIs he has played, with his two most recent outings in that format coming away to Pakistan last month.
202 CAREER T20 WICKETS
Linde possesses 27 wickets in international T20 cricket, at a miserly average of just 22.03 apiece, and has a best haul of 4/21, against Pakistan last December.
Alongside that, he has added 175 across the domestic T20 circuit, for a career total of over 200, and has achieved the four-wicket haul feat on a pleasing four occasions.
Also impressive is his career economy rate, where, allied with his constant wicket-taking threat, he concedes runs at just 7.38 per over.
2,520 CAREER T20 RUNS
Linde is a more-than-handy acquisition with the bat too, having struck over 2,500 shortest-format runs at a healthy rate of 135.33.
He has four half-centuries in the format, and boasts a top score of 66 not out from just 31 balls, for Western Province in a South African domestic match in October 2024.
Additionally, he also has six centuries in First-Class cricket, where he possesses a career best of 152 with the bat.
11 TEAMS IN T20
Since debuting in domestic Twenty20 cricket for Western Province in his home city of Cape Town - and taking figures of 3/17 to boot - Linde has represented 11 sides around the globe.
Alongside five teams in his homeland, including MI Cape Town in the SA20, he counts teams in Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, and the West Indies among his employers.
He will make Notts Outlaws his 12th team upon his debut in 2026, having previously represented Kent Spitfires in the Vitality Blast, and Trent Rockets in The Hundred.
