Liam Patterson-White and Cassidy McCarthy have been named as the respective men’s and women’s winners of the John Pye Auctions Player of the Month awards for June.

Homegrown all-rounder Patterson-White claimed 20 wickets in June at an average of just over 26 apiece across both the Championship and the Vitality Blast, and embarked upon a mammoth effort with the ball in red-ball clashes against Yorkshire and Somerset.

He srtruck a top score of 87 in the Championship at home to the White Rose, as well as registering three catches.

Meanwhile, McCarthy claimed five wickets across five matches in June at a similarly miserly average of just under 24.

The Blaze enjoyed a stellar month, winning four out of the five Vitality Blast games that McCarthy played in, with the run of form positively influencing a rise up the table.

Patterson-White and McCarthy were presented with their respective awards just before the start of Notts Outlaws’ Vitality Blast clash with Durham on Friday night.

The awards were presented by Josie Park and her colleague from the charity Footprints, who were guests of John Pye Auctions at the fixture.
