Josh Tongue reflected on a slow and hard-fought third day of Nottinghamshire’s Rothesay County Championship clash with Hampshire at Utilita Bowl.
Tongue, who entered the fray on the third morning after being released from England duty, praised the application of the Green and Gold bowling attack in largely difficult conditions.
He noted the influence of elder seamer Mohammad Abbas, as well as giving a glowing review of the performance of 17-year-old spinner Farhan Ahmed.
Tongue offered an insight into Notts’ strategy in the game so far, as well as an outline of plans moving forward as the game heads into its final day.
