Michaela Kirk top-scored with 31 but The Blaze 2nd XI fell short against Durham in Gateshead.
Kirk hit her runs from 28 balls, with her innings including four fours, and captain Georgie Boyce added 27 not out as The Blaze posted 127-5 after being put in.
However, Durham chased down their target with four overs to spare as opener Emma Marlow made an unbeaten 45-ball 62 and Harriet Robson chipped in with 34.
Maria Andrews and Hayva Abbott both took wickets for The Blaze, with the latter’s 1/18 from three overs representing the pick of the attack, while substitute fielder Annie Williams executed a run-out.
Despite that, an unbroken fourth-wicket partnership of 55 between Marlow and Alice Eltringham saw the hosts over the line.
