James Hayes has agreed a move to Sussex on loan, and will be available to make his First-Class debut as the South coast county entertain Worcestershire this weekend.

The 23-year-old, who has made three senior appearances in List A cricket for Notts, has been a regular fixture in matchday squads this summer as Haseeb Hameed's side have moved to the top of the Rothesay County Championship table.

He featured in the Green and Golds' pre-season friendlies against Loughborough UCCE and Oxford UCCE this spring, and has since appeared twice for Nottinghamshire's Second XI, claiming figures of 4/45 against Kent.

Rob Lord will replace Hayes in the matchday squad for Notts' home game against Hampshire.
