Kathryn Bryce and Orla Prendergast have been named in the summer’s final PCA MVP Team of the Month following standout September showings.
Having been crowned as PCA Women’s Domestic Overall MVP and Metro Bank One Day Cup Women’s Player of the Year, Bryce capped off a stellar season by leading the PCA’s MVP rankings in September to be named the team of the month’s captain.
She totalled 256 runs from just four innings, starting with back-to-back half-centuries against Somerset and Durham, before amassing a standout 124 in the semi-final against Lancashire.
Meanwhile, Irishwoman Prendergast, having returned to complete her stint as The Blaze’s overseas player, contributed 130 runs, also from four innings, and claimed four wickets.
Additionally, Emma Jones - currently of Surrey but soon to join The Blaze - was named in the side after she also enjoyed a productive month with the bat, scoring 211 runs from three innings.
