Nottinghamshire’s bowling attack snared all ten Surrey wickets in a session and a half as the Green and Golds completed a famous three-day 145-run win at the Oval.
Surrey, chasing 329 for victory after Joe Clarke’s 95 in the visitors’ second innings had driven them to 306 all out, capitulated to 183 all out despite Ollie Pope’s hundred.
Olly Stone added four more wickets to his first-innings six-fer to complete only his second-ever haul of ten, while Dillon Pennington took three, including the winning wicket of centurion Pope.
The win means Nottinghamshire keep their hold on top spot, five points ahead of next week’s opponents Warwickshire in what is set to be a mouthwatering clash.
