Kathryn and Sarah Bryce both contributed to consecutive victories as Scotland sailed into the Super Six stage of the T20 World Cup Qualifier in Nepal.

Sarah hit 52 not out in 35 balls, with eight fours and a six - the latter containing the winning runs - to be awarded the Player of the Match in a five-wicket victory over Thailand on Saturday.

Two days later, Kathryn then snared her brace to tee up a crushing 72-run win over hosts Nepal and see Scotland, with three wins from four, into the final stage of the tournament.

Kathryn had also taken 1/11 against Thailand, removing Aphisara Suwanchonrathi from her first ball via a Rachel Slater catch as Scotland restricted the eventual total to 118-6.

The sisters also teamed up to run out Natthakan Chantham for one, while Sarah claimed another run-out in conjunction with Darcey Carter, that of Onnicha Kamchomphu for two.

Sarah then provided the lynchpin of the chase with the bat, and found support from Katherine Fraser’s 41, as the duo’s 67-run stand helped Scotland win with 5.2 overs to spare.

Buoyed by that win, Scotland then sealed another 48 hours later, with the Bryces contributing 26 runs between them in a total of 140 all out against Nepal.

The hosts were never in contention, eventually bundled out for just 68 as Kathryn saw off Samjhana Khadka, caught by Megan McColl for seven, and Manisha Upadhayay, lbw for two.

The latter was the match-winning wicket, giving the Bryces the recognition that together, they had produced the vital moments in both victories.

In the opposite group, Ella Claridge’s USA, courtesy of their vital five-wicket win over Papua New Guinea, joined Scotland in the final six-team group.

Claridge claimed a stumping, removing top-scoring opener Konio Oala for 41 off the bowling of Aditiba Chudasama, as Papua New Guinea posted 110-5.

Led by a 69-run opening stand between Chetna Pagydyala and Gargi Bhogle, the USA made light work of the chase and cantered over the line with two full overs to spare.

With the Super Six now set, the top four will make it to the World Cup, with the quartet of Bangladesh, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Thailand set to join Scotland and the USA.

The first matches of the Super Six are set to take place on Wednesday, with Scotland facing Ireland and the USA meeting the Netherlands.
