Liam Patterson-White has been named in a 14-man squad for tomorrow’s Metro Bank One Day Cup clash at Lancashire, as Notts Outlaws seek a fourth successive win in the competition.

The spinner returns from SunRisers Leeds to take his place in the squad. He replaces Joe Pocklington, who will see a specialist to assess the severity of a stress fracture to the foot.

“We’re naturally disappointed for Joe that he’ll miss out this week,” said Notts Outlaws’ Metro Bank One Day Cup Head Coach Paul Franks.

“He’s shown what a skilful player he is over the past few weeks, bowling long, economical spells and remaining a wicket-taking threat, while also contributing useful runs with the bat.

“We’ll support him every step of the way through his recovery, and look forward to seeing him back on the field when he’s ready.

“At the same time, it’s great to be able to welcome a player of Liam’s quality back for tomorrow.  We all know the ability he has with bat and ball, and his experience will be really useful as well as we look to back up a strong start to the competition.”

Elsewhere, Sam Wood returns to the squad after being ineligible to face Leicestershire, in line with the terms of his loan deal with the Foxes. He replaces Dillon Pennington, who returns to Welsh Fire.

Jack Haynes and Ben Slater remain absent through injury, with both players targeting a return in time for the resumption of County Championship cricket next month. Rob Lord, meanwhile, will miss the remainder of the season with a stress fracture of the back.

Tickets for the Outlaws’ maiden trip to A0 Farington Cricket Ground are sold out, with no tickets available on the gate.
