Byron Hatton-Lowe has been named in a 12-strong England Men Under-19 squad to face South Africa A in a three-match Youth ODI series.

Nottingham-born Academy graduate Hatton-Lowe, 19, has played two Metro Bank One Day Cup games for the Outlaws, claiming five wickets at an average of 25.60.

He also has six previous Youth ODI appearances to his name, though any appearance against the Proteas will be his first since September 2025.

He joins six players in the squad who were part of the Young Lions’ run to the Under-19 World Cup final earlier this year.

England Men U19s head coach, Michael Yardy, said: “We have an exciting summer of Under-19s fixtures ahead of us, firstly with South Africa and then later in the summer versus Pakistan.

“We’ve named a smaller squad for the upcoming Youth ODIs against South Africa as it is important to have some flexibility with so many Under-19s players featuring in the Vitality Blast.

“It’s always great to have some new faces in the group and it will be exciting to watch them put in performances in an England shirt for the first time.”

A 13-player Under-19 Invitational squad has also been named to face both England and South Africa in warm-up matches ahead of the series beginning in earnest.

The Youth ODIs then take place on Tuesday 30th June at Uptonsteel Grace Road in Leicester, and Friday 3rd and Monday 6th July, at the cinch County Ground in Northampton and the County Ground in Beckenham, respectively.
