An honest Peter Moores said that Nottinghamshire can “have no complaints” after the defending champions were defeated by 306 runs at home to Somerset.

Moores said that Notts being reminded of the hurt of a defeat - a first in red-ball cricket for over a year and only a second in their past 23 matches in the format - will serve as fuel moving forward.

He praised individual elements of the performance, noting that there was an improvement during the course of the game, but accepted his side were second-best and afforded Somerset credit.
