Josh Tongue has been named in a 17-player squad for the Vitality IT20 series against India.

The Nottinghamshire seamer, currently part of the Test squad heading to Trent Bridge this week, is in line for another home outing in the Three Lions, with the third IT20 of the series taking place in West Bridgford on Tuesday 7 July.

Elsewhere, uncapped all-rounder James Coles has been called up to an England Men’s squad for the first time.

Jordan Cox, Sonny Baker and Saqib Mahmood return to the T20 squad having not been a part of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton are unavailable due to injury.

England Men’s National Selector, Marcus North, said: “James Coles is an exciting addition and has earned his place following his performances with the England Lions and in T20 competitions here and abroad during the past 12 months.

“We have selected a larger squad to accommodate for the fact that this series will begin shortly after the Test series against New Zealand is due to conclude which allows us to be flexible.”
