Batter Georgie Boyce has retired from all forms of cricket following the conclusion of the 2026 season.

Nottingham-born Boyce, who turned 28 last week, enjoyed a 13-year career in the game, having made her debut for Nottinghamshire under the old semi-professional structure, aged just 14 in July 2013.

In all, she scored over 4,000 career runs in 196 appearances across List A and T20 cricket, notching 22 fifties and one century, while also contributing 14 wickets with her part-time off-breaks.

“This has been a really tough decision to make, and I’ll miss being part of The Blaze, but I’m looking forward to my next chapter,” said Boyce.

“I couldn’t have wished for a better season to bow out on the back of, and I wish all the team the best as they move forward into next season and look to defend what we won this year.”

Boyce joined Lancashire Thunder for the 2018 Kia Super League, going on to represent the Red Rose in both formats until 2022, while simultaneously also playing for Thunder in the regional era.

Ahead of the 2023 season, with the then-named Lightning being rebranded as The Blaze and moving their full-time base to Trent Bridge, she made a full-circle return to the East Midlands.

She spent time on loan at Yorkshire in the latter part of her career, having also previously turned out for Manchester Originals in the inaugural edition of The Hundred in 2021.
