Nottinghamshire battled back from 20-3 to amass 377 all out on day one of their Rothesay County Championship contest with Hampshire.
Joe Clarke led the way with his fourth century of the summer, before Liam Patterson-White chipped in with a magnificent 92.
Meanwhile, Jack Haynes and debutant Mitchell Hay contributed 48 and 49 respectively, with both sharing big stands alongside Clarke.
