Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is seeking four exceptional individuals to join the club's General Committee from March 2027.
Since 2020, the club's Nominations Panel has worked diligently to ensure our General Committee possesses the necessary skills, experience and diversity to lead the club effectively into the future.
We’re keen to hear from people who are passionate about the club and who can bring different experiences, ideas and perspectives to its future. You don’t need to be a cricket expert, or to have previous board experience to apply.
The Role
The General Committee helps shape the club's long-term direction, provides stewardship of its assets on behalf of the membership, and monitors performance against agreed budgets and plans. These voluntary, non-executive positions require attendance at monthly General Committee meetings and relevant sub-committees.
Committee members play an important role in helping to ensure the club remains a thriving, sustainable and successful members' organisation for future generations. The role involves listening to and contributing to discussions, providing constructive challenge, supporting good decision-making, and helping the club respond effectively to opportunities and challenges.
We are looking for people who can bring sound judgement, valuable experience, fresh perspectives and a commitment to the club's long-term success.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals who can bring skills, knowledge and experience in areas such as governance and compliance, strategic oversight, leadership, finance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, communication and collaborative working.
We are not expecting candidates to have experience in every area. Valuable contributions come from a wide range of professional, voluntary and lived experiences.
As a members' club, it is important that our governance benefits from a range of perspectives that reflect both our membership and the wider community.
Joining the Committee
There are two routes via which you can join the Committee:
Elected Route
If you wish to stand for election, you must have been a member of the club and entitled to vote for a continuous period of not less than two years on 31 October 2026.
Nominated Route
The Nominations Panel actively searches for suitable candidates beyond our current membership. Applicants via this route need not be current members but must join the club if successful.
How to Apply
All candidates must complete an application form, which can be completed here...
This year, our online application process is being administered on our behalf by PIN Communications, a leading election services and communications provider. Shortly after completing your online application, you will receive a copy of your submission via email.

Selection Process
All candidates will be interviewed by the Nominations Panel in December 2026 or January 2027. The Panel will appoint two non-executive directors, with the remaining two positions decided by membership election. Eligible members may apply through both routes.
