Kathryn Bryce has been named as The Blaze’s John Pye Auctions Player of the Month for July after playing key roles with bat and ball.

Bryce totalled 275 runs across the month, with a top score of 136 against Durham - a new career-best - as well as taking 12 wickets across all formats.

Her August was capped off by being crowed a Vitality T20 County Cup champion as she took 4/18 and hit the winning run in the final against Surrey to see The Blaze to a second piece of silverware this year.

The 28-year-old’s performances in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, including her aforementioned century at Trent Bridge, were also crucial in seeing the side through to the knockouts of that competition too.

As well as teeing up a big win over the north-eastern outfit in that game, Bryce also produced valuable contributions away to Warwickshire as The Blaze secured a top-three spot with three games to spare.

She was presented with her award by Simon Fotheringham, Sales Manager at Trent Bridge, ahead of The Blaze’s One Day Cup match against Somerset at Trent Bridge.
