DANIEL SAMS
Daniel Sams arrived at Trent Bridge for the 2025 Vitality Blast T20 campaign as one of the most experienced white-ball warriors in cricket, having played in leagues and competitions around the world.
His CV includes Australia’s Big Bash League, the Indian Premier League, the Pakistan Super League, as well as a previous stint in the Vitality Blast with Essex. Sams helped the Eagles reach the Blast knockout stages in two of his three seasons, totalling 617 runs and 46 wickets during his time in Chelmsford.
He also had previous experience of playing at Trent Bridge, having represented Trent Rockets in their title-winning season of 2022.
A bowling all-rounder, Daniel Sams was born in Milperra, New South Wales, on 27 October 1992 and came relatively late to cricket, making his professional debut at the age of 25.
A left-arm fast-medium bowler but a right-handed batter, Sams played in all of the fourteen Vitality Blast games that The Outlaws contested in 2025. He took 16 wickets at 32.75, with 4-26 (his one ‘four-fer’) against Durham at Trent Bridge. With the bat, he made 162 runs with a top score of 33 versus Leicestershire, also at Trent Bridge.
Daniel Sams also played three matches for The Outlaws in the Metro Bank 50-over competition, scoring 71 runs with a top score of 45, made against Essex at the Fretwell Complex in Welbeck, and took two wickets.
