Francis Smith Kerry was christened on 2 January 1803 in Nottingham - so was probably born in the last days of 1802 - and died aged 72, also in Nottingham in April 1875.

He played in just one First-Class match, for the Old Club v Sheffield in 1830, scoring 1 and 4no. His name first appears in the Sir John Warren Club (presumably based at the public house on Canning Circus) a year earlier and Kerry also played a trials match for the Old Club, Barker's XI v Jarvis's XI. Thereafter he appeared mainly for the Rancliffe Arms team although he is listed in the Next XXII v First XI fixture of Nottingham CC in 1835.

No further particulars of this played could be obtained.
