Hermon Walter Dexter was a competent middle order batsman and occasional right-arm medium bowler, chiefly associated with Nottingham Forest CC.  Dexter made his First-Class debut in 1902, playing 10 matches.  He left the ground staff at the end of the 1903 season and returned to club cricket; as late as 1911 he recorded a Century for Nottinghamshire Ramblers.

Dexter scored 223 runs at an average of 20.27 over his 10 matches and had a highest score of 38 not out. In First Class matches he bowled just 11 overs without taking a wicket.

He died on 31 January 1961 in Nottingham aged 83. His niece, Eileen White, played for ladies teams in the county in the 1940s.
