Fast bowler Jack Brooks joined Notts Outlaws on a two week white-ball loan deal to join Conor McKerr on temporary deals at Trent Bridge as cover for injured bowlers Ball, Fletcher and Stone. 

The 38-year-old arrived with 61 wickets in 71 domestic T20 fixtures, across stints at Northamptonshire, Yorkshire and Somerset.  He added a further six wickets in the two games that he played for The Outlaws, including a 4-51 haul against Yorkshire at Trent Bridge.

Jack Brooks was born on 4 June 1984 in Oxford and played Minor Counties cricket for his home county before joining Northamptonshire.  He has also played for Worcestershire, Sussex and Yorkshire; at the end of the 2023 season, Brooks announced that he was leaving Somerset but, at the time of writing, had not said where his next destination might be.
