Born in Worksop on June 17th 1903, Bernard Hall was educated at Bloxham and played for Worksop in the Bassetlaw league from 1920 to 1939.

He also played regularly for Sir Julien Cahn’s XI taking 166 wickets at an average of 20.77.

Hall made his first class debut for Nottinghamshire against Glamorgan in 1935 and re-appeared in 1939 playing in the final county game before the outbreak of war. In 1946,

Hall played in three matches for Nottinghamshire and his final game was against Middlesex at Trent Bridge in June that year.
