Steven Robert Mee played in one First-Class match for Nottinghamshire in 1984.

Born in Nottingham on 6 April 1965, Mee played in five Second Eleven fixtures for the County in 1983 and a further four games for the Seconds in 1984.  Primarily a right arm fast medium pace bowler, Mee frequently opened the bowling.  He recorded his best figures of 4-91 in his first outing for the Seconds at Lutterworth against Leicestershire Seconds in 1983.  He was a tail end batsman but that did not prevent him scoring 60 not out batting at number 11 against Yorkshire Seconds at Harrogate. 

His sole appearance for the First Eleven came in late June 1984 at Trent Bridge in a match against Cambridge University.  He did not bat in either innings but took 2-44 in the students’ first innings as he helped Notts to a seven-wicket victory.  Mee was one of four First-Class debutants for Nottinghamshire in that match, alongside Kevin Evans, David Fraser-Darling and Mick Newell.  The Nottinghamshire Yearbook for 1985 declared that this was the first time since 1888 that four Nottinghamshire players had made their First-Class debut in the same match.
