Thomas Flowers was a useful right-hand bat and right-arm slow-medium bowler. He was born on 25 October 1868 in Daybrook and was a cousin of England and Notts all-rounder Wilfred Flowers (eight tests and 442 first-class matches from 1877 to 1896). Thomas appeared for Notts Second XI in 1891, for Notts Colts in 1893 and 1894 and represented Notts in one First-Class match v Gloucestershire at the Spa Ground in Gloucester on 31 May 1 and 2 June 1894; he scored 5 and 11 and bowled 6-3-10-0. From 1893 to 1908, he was professional for Church CC in the Lancashire League. In 321 matches he scored 4,259 runs @15.43 and took 871 wickets @11.03. He also appeared for Lancashire Second XI in 1896.

He died on 26 March 1939 at the General Hospital in Nottingham, aged 70 years.
